Why Use Lights?

Light Therapy has been a great tool to healing and health in many of our client's lives, and my own. Schedule a light session at our studio and feel the difference!

Non-invasive and comfortable, LED light safely passes through skin and into the tissues of the body. We work with wavelengths of light that benefit cellular structure and have proven results. People simply rest soft, medical grade LED “smart pads” of near infrared, blue and red light directly on the skin or light-colored clothing. We also offer a whole bed of this healthy light.

A session typically last 20 to 30 minutes and can be safely experienced at home or in a office setting. Remember that new born babies are often given light therapy to help with jaundice when they are only a few hours old.

We find the best results involve working with an eye mask as well as several other pads so that the whole body receives benefit. We highly recommend systems that have a minimum of 500 medical grade LED diodes.

While people often experience positive benefits after their first session, the amount of times someone would do light therapy depends on many factors. Someone can do a few sessions or get optimum energetic wellness from daily sessions with a system that they rent or own.

I began Pilates almost six months ago, September 12, 2014.

Previously, over a two and one-half year time frame, I had been rear ended four times and spent my evenings with a heating pad on my neck, alternating that with a neck de-compression device to give me relief from pain. I was also seeing a chiropractor three times a week. Five years ago, I had two abdominal surgeries, both requiring a seven inch vertical incision. My husband likes to tell people I have been gutted like a fish - twice!

Over the past six months, I have attended four sessions per week. In the beginning, I struggled with all the exercises, especially those that required neck and abs. Now, every couple of weeks, I find myself doing something I couldn't do before. It is so exciting, I call out "I'm doing it!!!" The first new found ability was actually rolling down one vertebra at a time, and just last week I was able to touch my toes to the ground while bicycling!

My chiropractor told my mom on Saturday he felt like I had given up on him, I haven't been in quite a while! Pilates and Tara have changed my life. I feel great - no pain! I'm addicted - this is the best addiction ever! I just turned 56 and can see myself doing this for the rest of my life!
